Jesse Hayes

Funeral services for Jesse Lee Hayes will be held on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.

Bro. Bob Sullivan will officiate. Mr. Hayes passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, in Fort Worth.

Jesse was born in Fairfield on Sept. 27, 1987, and grew up in Teague. He graduated with the Teague High School class of 2006.

He loved all sports and played football, basketball, baseball, golf and ran track during his high school years. Jesse continued following and playing several sports as an adult and was known for keeping all sorts of sports statistics. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Jesse made his living working in the oil field as a pipeline inspector.

He loved his friends and family and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is survived by three children, Myiah Hayes, Cole Hayes, and Carlie Hayes; his parents, Jimmie and Cindy Hayes; three brothers, Jim Hayes, Jr. and wife Ashley, Robert Monks and wife Dawn, and Zack Hayes and wife Charity; mom, Debra Wilson; aunts and uncles, Steve and Wendy Hayes, Bill and Jennifer H ayes Hayes, April Alijah William, Barry and Linda Kirkwood, Tisha and Bill Vollmer, Kathy and Robert Grissam, Robbye Wilson, and Bobby Wilson.

Jesse was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Geneva Hayes; his maternal grandparents, Bob and Ann Wilson; and his uncle, Robert Hayes, Jr.

To honor Jesse’s love for the Dallas Cowboys, the family requests that everyone attending the service wear Cowboys gear.
