Chamber Banquet is tonight
The Teague Chamber of Commerce?s Annual Awards Banquet will be held in the Community Center tonight, April 13th beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Numerous awards will be presented including the Citizen of the Year, the Business of the Year, the Organization of the Year, TISD Students of the Year, along with two new awards presented by the Teague Police Department, the Officer of the Year and the Rookie of the Year Awards.
Receiving awards will be Florence Barker, Citizen of the Year; Carter Enterprises (Subway/Pizza Hut) for Business of the Year; and the Teague Historical Preservation Society for Organization of the Year. Teague Police Department award recipients will be Jason Morgan as Officer of the Year and Markeisha Cox as Rookie of the Year.
Student of the Year Awards will be presented to Kamerya Thompson ? Elementary School; E-leyshia Roblow ? Intermediate School; Madison Bragg ? Junior High School; Dylan Angel ? High School; and Avery Mills ? Lion Academy.
Ricky Sims will serve as emcee for the evening.
Tickets are $20 each which includes a catered meal by Sam?s Restaurant. Chamber directors encourage citizens to purchase tickets in advance, which is helpful to the caterer and the chamber to determine attendance. Tickets are currently available at Prosperity Bank, the Flower House and The Teague Chronicle. Tickets will also be available at the door.
