To help with medical expenses...Fundraiser for Kassidy Griffith is this Saturday at The Point
220 POUNDS OF CHILI was served to many Teague citizens who came out to help the Teague Volunteer Fire Department raise money to pay off the new fire truck as well as maintenance and up-keep on the fire station, equipment, fire fighting gear and vehicles. The delicious chili and a drink was offered for a donation and the TVFD raised $2400 to keep them going and to keep the citizens of Teague safe.
A fundraiser for Kassidy Griffith, who was severely injured in an automobile accident on the night of January 19th, will be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2017, at The Point Bar, 2838 FM 1365, between Teague and Mexia. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and will remain open until 1:00 a.m.
Barbecue Plates will be served as long as supplies last. Other events including a horseshoe tournament, a dart tournament, and a silent auction will also be held during the daylong activities.
According to Stacy Griffith, Kassidy?s mother, she is improving everyday. She is speaking and does many things for herself. She has a great attitude and is working very hard to defeat her current deficits.
Her mother reports, ?She is working very hard to get her legs moving. We are still at Baylor Rehab in Dallas, however, she will be moved to another Dallas facility as she progresses. The road back will still be a long one but the doctors say that she is young and healthy so they are expecting a full recovery.?
Kassidy?s family would like to thank everyone from the bottom of their hearts for the caring, love, support and prayers they have given for Kassidy.
