TSAC performances set Jan. 28th and 29th... ALWAYS...Patsy Cline

TRINITY STAR ARTS COUNCIL Community Theater actors and musicians are busily preparing for their production of “ALWAYS…Patsy Cline,” to be presented on January 28th & 29th in the Teague High School Theater.

George Drayton Boyd will direct the Trinity Star Arts Council?s production of ALWAYS...Patsy Cline, set for two performances in Teague on January 28th and 29th

Created and written by Ted Swindley, ALWAYS...Patsy Cline is based on a true story about the legendary Patsy Cline (played by Joyce Nichols) and her friendship with housewife, Louise Seger. The relationship which began as fan worship, evolved into one of mutual respect.

Louise, played by Rachel Bossier, narrates the story of the day in 1961 when she meets Patsy at Houston?s Esquire Ballroom. Afterward, Patsy keeps in touch with her number one fan by writing long, hand-written letters cementing their friendship until the day she dies tragically in a plane crash. The show?s title was inspired by Cline?s letters which were signed, ?(Love) ALWAYS...Patsy Cline.?

The musical play, complete with down home country humor and real emotion, includes many of Patsy?s timeless hits such as CRAZY, I FALL TO PIECES, SWEET DREAMS and WALKING AFTER MIDNIGHT - over two dozen songs in all according to Jeff Harrison, musical director.

The cast will be joined by musicians, Daron Stone, keyboard; Samuel Bounds, percussion; Marlis Coursey, fiddle; Steve Partain, guitar and Jeff Harrison, bass. Also appearing will be vocalists Scott Bossier, John Lamb and Larry Weber, all of whom played in the production of Forever Plaid at Palestine?s Texas Theater.

Produced by Trinity Star Arts Council, ALWAYS...Patsy Cline opens Saturday, January 28th at 7 p.m. at the impressive Teague High Theatre, US Hwy 84, Teague, TX. A second performance is scheduled for Sunday, January 29th at 2:30 p.m.

All tickets are $10.00 each and available at Armadillo Emporium in Fairfield, The Teague Chronicle or online at www.TrinityStarArtsCouncil.org. For more information call 903-388-4765.
